Verdener Keks- und Waffelfabrik Hans Freitag GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed family business in Verden that has been producing fine biscuits with great care and love for more than 76 years. We produce around 130 different biscuit and wafer products in bags and other packaging and market them nationally and internationally.

Commercial Buyer (m/f/d)

We are looking for immediate support for our purchasing department, starting at 30 hours/week

Your tasks:

Independent purchasing of raw materials for biscuit and wafer production
Carrying out tenders, comparing offers and selecting suppliers
Establishing new and maintaining existing supplier relationships and identifying potential savings
Coordinating raw material approvals and sample requests in cooperation with product development and quality management
Monitoring stocks and sustainable raw materials and maintaining purchasing-relevant master data
Processing orders and making appointments in day-to-day business
Planning and carrying out supplier audits and preparing reports and purchasing analyses

What you should bring with you:

• Completed commercial training or comparable studies
• Professional experience in purchasing or purchasing controlling desirable
• Confident handling of MS Office 365, especially Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Structured and communicative personality with a confident demeanour
• Interest in process optimisation and willingness to travel for trade fairs and supplier visits
