The Verden biscuit and wafer factory Hans Freitag GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed family business in Verden that has been producing fine biscuits with great care and love for more than 76 years. We produce around 130 different biscuit and wafer products in bags and other packaging and market them nationally and internationally.

Sustainability Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for part-time support (30h/W) for our group of companies with immediate effect.

Your tasks:

• Development and implementation of a comprehensive sustainability strategy for our group of companies with the production plants in Verden and Schneverdingen in close coordination with the management and production management
• Control and further development of the sustainability commitment and proactively work towards implementing sustainability more and more in all operational processes
• Planning, accompanying and leading internal as well as external audits for the certification of sustainable corporate governance (e.g. SMETA, RSPO, RA)
• Support in the development and implementation of sustainability-relevant key figures for official reporting
• Contact person for authorities, suppliers, customers and internal departments.

What you should bring with you:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability and environmental management or several years of professional experience in the audit field with strong affinity and enthusiasm for sustainable action and environmental protection

• Knowledge of LkSG, SBTi, CSRD, audits and reporting
• Good commercial and technical understanding
• Enjoyment in the energetic implementation of new processes
• Dependent responsibility as well as a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work in a team
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of how to use Microsoft Office
• Willingness to work alternately at both production sites.
